I want to live my next life backwards:

You start out dead and get that out of the way, right at the start.

Then you wake up in an old folk's home, feeling better every day.

Then you get kicked out of the old folk's home for being too healthy.

You enjoy your retirement and collect your pension.

Then you start work, and you get a gold watch on your first day.

You work 40 years until you're too young to work.

You get ready for university or college: drink beer, party, and enjoy meeting members of the opposite sex.

Then you go to secondary school, where you take part in sports activities and learn some useful and useless things.

Then you go to primary school, become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities.

Then you become a baby, and then..

You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions - central heating, room service on tap, all expenses paid ...

And it all ends in an act of mad passionate love.

What a life.

Friends

Its been so long that i couldn't write a post and also couldn't visit your blogs...Two reasons 1. Work is taking my time 2. No internet connection at home[skinned :( ]

Ok...now let me get in to the subject...

Astrology is based on the planetary motions in the universe. Till this point, i beleive in astrology. I look at it as a field taking concepts from both maths and science. So far there were 9 planets and the predictions were on the 9 planets.

Few weeks before, pluto has lost the status of a planet. A junta of physicists/astronomers did this by a voting process.

So i am just wondering, how astrology will be perceived, hereafter...

Asylum Vs Immigrants Vs Education

I have been thinking of writing about 2 incidents that were all most similar to one another involving two women belonging to African ethnicity.

The incident happened outside Tesco, a supermarket chain. I finished shopping and was waiting outside for the Network taxi. The Network taxi costs you less and so it’s cheap form of transport other than the costly public transport :) There were many people belonging to different races whites, Asians etc were also waiting for their taxis.

The African women got her taxi, first. You can figure out from her outlook that she is an asylum seeker. [Please do not think that I am undermining people with their outlook but at the same time outlook quickly tells about a person, not his/her personality though] the driver of the taxi is a white man in his 50’s or 60’s. The driver called his passenger by the name. It’s the African women’s name. She couldn’t pick up the Scottish accent, lately; she understood that it’s her name.

Here comes the core part. She pushed her trolley to the back of the taxi. The old taxi driver opened the boot door. He started shifting the groceries in to the boot. The young African women stood like a boss making the old man to do her job. She undermines the individuality of this gentleman. Everybody noticed this. I could see a smile/gesture going around people who were witnessing the women’s act.

What does this mean???

Being an immigrant in this country, I am able to understand and integrate myself with people quickly, as education helped me with the necessary tools.

So I think, the government must educate the asylum seekers about UK’s culture and people’s tradition and respect.

Education is not only for asylum seeker’s kids; it is also necessary for their parents. If the Pakistanis who came to Britain in the early 70’s were educated about the British society, they would have known the values of the British society. This would have aided closer integration and avoided, them, alienating themselves from the local community. This would have avoided the July 7th bombing. The bombers attributed their act to the religion they belong to, which is due to lack of understanding the core values of the society where they were living and their own religion. So I believe that educating the values of this society to the future generation of ethnic minority groups must be encouraged for a safe Britain.

I still couldn’t find the answers for the following.
1. Is the woman a racist?
2. Is the woman lazy?
3. As the woman is from a minority group, is she used to the fact that they dependent on men.
4. Her nature is bossy, so no wonder she behaved like this?
5. Or it’s me who look at the whole incident with a racist view?

This issue is applicable to all the countries which are facing problems with integration.

BASICS of college life: Unity

This post is all about the wonderful moments, I had with my super-seniors. These are a bunch of guys who were much united and die for each other. I have always admired the values, the fun, the fighting, the interaction, the charm, the majestic character and of course the leadership qualities of them. They were called as “BASICS”. I am not too close to all these people. Each individual has a different frequency in their likes and dislikes, so it’s too difficult to be in the good books of all.

I was close to shah anna, hehehe, don’t think that he is a northiee, heheh, His full name is Arun shankar. A nice man, who writes lots of good kavithai’s, Of course he is the kadhal mannan [I will delete this line before your marriage, so no worries] He mingles with everybody quite easily. I have been to his home. He has got a nice family and I think, a nice athai ponnu too…heheh

Next is padha, His full name is Padmanabhan, if I am not wrong. He is a master blaster. He wears that black cooling glass like a military man. I really cannot forget his last final days with his friends, as everybody were leaving, the emotional trauma he underwent, …still before my eyes……offuuu…we need to undergo to realise those feelings. Now I understand that he got married…and padha’na congratulations.

Satya, a soft-spoken strategist, the thing, I know about him is that he is a very balanced man among the group of super fast guys. He was a brainy, 81% in Mech with some centum in some papers… For an average man like me, he seems to be an Eiffel tower. I many days used to have wee chat with him after my breakfast. Nice moments.

Tamilselvan, is very soft-spoken, very nice guy; He is a kind of silent striker… He otifyies you in such a manner that you won’t realise it at the first moment.

Sivakumar annan, my own super senior, I mean he is from ECE. A very nice guy. He has given me lots of confidence when I came back from one of my exams, electromagnetics . I was sure that I will flunk; but he gave me lots of hope, I did manage to clear the paper. As long as he was there, I have evaded many hurdles, for example, he adviced me about all the staffs in the department. He told me about Mangalam maam…she is nice but very strict…these advices has helped me from not getting in to trouble. He will be always be neatly dressed…

Suresh anna, very lovable character. Very practical person and of course, very bold too. I still remember the scene when there was a fight between the 3rd year cse and final years…he was chasing all the rowdies who entered in to the campus…very bold dude…He is now having a kid.

Yoganand , He is also from udumalaipet…Shah anna’s native… He is a bold guy. I many times was afraid of him. Koncham cut and tight ana alu, straightaavae otiduvaru but a very nice personality. He is getting in to wedlock soon. Congrats na

Rajkumar and Ashok kumar, are very nice guys but quite too

Arun kumar, I am afraid off him. He is very silent. I donot much about him , ivrna yenakku innamum oru bayam than, I donot know why? :)

Mohan, naan edhuvumae solla vendam, everybody knows about him. Pollachi perundhalai…Yendha figuranalum…annan kittae salam pottutu than nagarum. Very friendly personality…I met him in an education exhibition in cochin. He has changed completely..acharyum…

I was not in touch with anybody other than shah annan for the past 8 years but I still cherish these nice moments with them. There is another gang of my immediate seniors who were next door neighbours to BASICS, I will write about them in some other thread.

The crux of this post is that the relationship during the college days were wonderful without any expectations and every junior admires the great qualities of their seniors…I love you all my brothers…MAY GOD BLESS US ALL

I am sure that every other bloggers will have such nice memories…share it please…

I am much bothered by the recent happennings in the Tech World. I am mentioning the major three agreements or events,

1.Deal between Yahoo Inc and eBay

2.Deal between Google and Dell

3.Microsoft made MSN search as an inbuilt feature in vista

For expanding the consumer market and to increase profitability, the Tech Giants are indulging in new odd ways to exploit their customer’s preferences.

Yahoo signed a deal with ebay to become the official advertisement provider for ebay, suppressing the rest of the small web advertisement firms making them out of business. Absolute filthy harassment!!!

With out respecting the individual preferences of its customers, Microsoft is setting MSN search as default with its new operating system-VISTA. Again it is making sure that small players in the media market run out of business. It monopolised the market and zeroed Netscape...Then bundled media player and zeroed real player...

In reply to the above strategic move by Microsoft, Google has entered in to an agreement with the computer maker Dell, to make sure that its search engine is set as default in Dell systems, nullifying the effect on MSN.

What are the outcomes of the above agreements to techno-buisness in general?

1. Customer's individuality and preferences are lost

2. For the sake of making profit to their share holders, corporates’ have lost the ethics of business

3. Suppression of smaller firms and making them out of business or so called acquisitions

4. Creating a fear of failure in the minds of young entrepreneurs, to start their own business

5. Creativity and innovations are indirectly suppressed

6. Market supremacy of corporates’ grows and hampers competition

The s(e)lection of the best among the worst has been done in Tamilnadu. So now the people's fate rest on DMK for another 5 years. Few important changes attracted my attention which i wish to share with you.

1. O-90 form. This gives the option for the voter not to cast his vote to any political party. Unfortunately, there are not many forms which were made available to public in the polling booths.
2. The election commission did a fair job espicially the election commissioner, Mr. Naresh Gupta.
3. The vote % is the highest after 1984 reaching to 70.22% with out any wave like assasination of leaders, arrest of leaders etc
4. The election results reveal no unique majority to any single party.
5. Emergence of Mr. Vijayakanth as a new ________. I wish to fill this blank with the word LEADER rather than POLITICIAN. But needs to wait and see to understand what he is upto. I liked this gentleman's gutts to stand in a place which is one of the strong holds of PMK. I understand from media reports that the PMK supremo took a week's time[last week before the election] to campaign against Mr. Vijayakanth, which all ended in vain.
6. One sided media arrogance and atrocity dominated this election. I am afraid that we might even reach the state of US in this regard in future. The newspapers were also partial including Mr. Cho
7. I understand from my DAD and few of my friends that the EC completely curbed the mafia culture in this election. Also it is under stood that the cut-out culture and banner culture were minimum. Good signs for future.
8. Media reports say that freebies played a vital role against JJ. But i feel that AIADMK's false strategy in bringing the actresses in to their campaign, used illegal money to buy the candidates of other parties etc has caused them the defeat. By consulting the party district leaders in candidate selection has caused many factions in the AIADMK party, In the other words, the dictator tried to become a democratic leader is a big blow...Ni Niyaga Iru...Vetrigal Unnai Thedi Varum...ahahhaha
9. An unfaithful man has been completely ... Yes, its Mr.Vaiko
10. A lovely young man Mr. Dayanidhi Maran has emerged as a politician/Leader.
11. Though DMK has won the election with a strategy, still AIADMK got the highest vote %. The reason might also be because of the total number of seats its contested... but it still remains as a powerfull party.

I happened to watch a movie called ABCD directed by shravan subbiah. I liked the story and screen play very much. The impact of love on a guy from three women with different backgrounds. You can find the review here

The thing which surprised me is that though the director has produced some strong message of crushing the traditional stigma of widow marriage by the guy marrying the widow. But he has showed the girl as a true virgin, not having any sex with her marriage husband which reflects the fact that still the tamil society entangled in all these virginity etc and still needs to have the gutts to come out to accept true love.

Just a 2 paise thought from my heart...

A tough week

The previous week was a tough week and the week ahead is going to be a tougher week.
I have realised that happiness is what and when you feel happy. I was searching for this word happiness in the last week. Lot of bad outcomes on both the professional and personal side. I showcased a poor display in my last meeting and was rewarded accordingly. I feel very mush ashamed of what i have done and i really donot know why i have done something like this. Anyways, a lesson learnt...

I always have conditioned myself to take things in the positive way... i went to GOD on the day of pongal to get myself comforted and want to re-enforce myself against all the forecoming odds....

I was watching bbc online/this world program. Its a very good program which compares the lives of 6 HIV people. This program has given me new strengths and courage towards HIV. I belong to Namakkal from where venila is from. I have personally seen how people look at AIDS in my place. I have personally seen how people treat HIV infected humans. I am so proud for venila to come out her nest and show the rest of the world that EVEN HIV INFECTED PEOPLE HAVE LIFE, ASPIRATIONS etc.

I TRUELY SALUTE VENILA AND HER PARENTS WHO ARE NOW SUPPORTING HER. I PRAY FOR WELL BEING.

I donot what to write. Nobody has the right to take the life of any other person... we have animal rights organisations and so on to protect animals..but human lives are spared under the system of justice...

The system of execution has to be removed from law. Judicial Law is to give, an opportunity for people to change and not to kill people

I went for supervising the exam with my supervisor, a totally new experience. Even though i have taught for 1+years, i felt a bit nervous when i entered the exam hall. Probably because of now its an international university... A good experience...
